Thirteen-year-old Maddie knows about loss.  Still coping with the death 
of her father, her world starts to go horribly wrong in more ways than 
she could have imagined.  The adults who have always defined her are 
acting strange and then… are simply not there at all.
Now living 
with her older sister and a small group of friends, they must work 
together to find depths of resilience as their community battle to

                        Julia Cowan lives in Bedfordshire with her 
husband, two children and two cats.  She works as a Teaching Assistant 
in a small school and loves supporting the children and sharing her love
 of writing. When she is not at her laptop, she enjoys learning the 
piano and going to the theatre.  Cells is her debut novel which was 
published in March 2020.
Us vs The Rest of the World is her second novel and published January 2021.
Julia is now working on her third book whilst also writing short stories.
