The Mailbox: Priority: Murder (Elizabeth Stitchway, Private Investigator, Cozy Mystery Series Book 1)

She delivers mail by day and solves mysteries by night. But when a hurricane reveals a dead body, will her first case be her last?

Elizabeth "Stitch" Stitchway dreams of becoming a private investigator, but she remains stuck in her mail carrier day job. When a freak hurricane tosses her and her truck into fast-moving waters, a mysterious stranger is her only saving grace. But after a dead body bubbles to the surface, her raw PI instincts aren't sure if her savior is a witness or a suspect…

When Stitch starts to receive letters from her protector, she dives head first into a murder investigation. As she searches for clues, the mystery man asks her for help at the expense of her postal responsibilities. But will trusting the suspect make her the next victim?

The Mailbox is a PI murder mystery filled with clever twists and turns. If you like smart female investigators, puzzling plots, and page-turning surprises, then you'll love Mary Jane Forbes' parcel of thrills.

About Mary Jane Forbes

MYSTERY - ROMANCE - SUSPENSE

In other words, cozy romantic mysteries wrapped in suspense.

My goal is to entertain, to transport you away from the stress of the day, to live for a short while in someone else’s world—at times to shed a tear, other times to set your heart beating, and always to add a few chuckles.

Fodder for my books comes from news stories—cybercrime to tiny houses, the stock market to the emergence of bitcoins, family to ancestor’s DNA, cookie baking contests to terrorists. But more often than not my stories are about relationships, and about families.

Unearthing the facts buried under the headlines sends me on fascinating journeys gaining insight into the stories behind the news. I weave my research, what I learn along the way, into my plots making them richer.

Back to work. My mind’s swirling with notes tacked on another storyboard. Twists and turns as I tackle a new plot in my studio loft...a space overlooking a pond edged with palmetto bushes in Port Orange, Florida.

Please drop me a line, a review is always welcome…enjoy your reading!
